Comic-Con n' Stuff

Its almost that time and i can't wait for it to be next week. I always have a blast down at SDCC, if you haven't been its definitely worth it. Well due to my own personal procrastination i didn't get a table like i was expecting, i was put on a wait list...No worries I'll get'em next year.

But i will be at my buddy Ben's ecvpress table in "Small Press O04" I've done a lot work with him over the years and did some covers this last year, I will be doing free sketches with a purchase of any of his line of books. If you're going to be there come by and say hello! We love to meet new people!

First SketchBomb!

I attended my first SketchBomb! this weekend...and it was fn awesome! I had an excellent time. It always great to be in the presents of amazing artists, makes you feel humbled just to be in same circle. I definitely look forward to the next one!

I will be uploading some sketches i worked on there as soon as i do the whole scanning bit. Until then check out all the other dope artists that contribute to this amazing group!

What is SketchBomb?

SketchBomb is a monthly gathering of San Francisco-area artists and friends with the intention of drinking, eating, laughing, and drawing. We love themed sketch-offs and aim to have fun!

There's going to be a new SketchBomb Saturday, May 22nd. It will be at the Grove at 3rd and Mission in San Francisco at 8 PM.

Some of the boys from "Drink and Draw Sac" will be crashing this party, So if you want to hang with us and meet some other talented people be sure to come through.

Late Wonder-Con Update

I had a rad time as always at wonder-con! It was one of the first shows i attended as a artist so it will always have a special place in my heart. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of rad artists that I've admired over "DA" and bunch of new ones i never had the pleasure of coming across. If you haven't see their work please take some time to stop by their respected pages and show some love.

:zatransis: - Mike Henry, One of the dopest artists and all around nice guy. He's got a lot of big things coming up so be sure to check it out. Also not to be messed with when it comes to "Street Fighter" ;)

:frogbillgo: - Ryan Hall, Dug his work from the moment i saw it, he's an extremely talented dude. One of the coolest guys, i look forward seeing more work from him.

:jusscope: - Justin Orr, What can i say juss one of my con partners. Gots mad skills and simply one of the coolest you'll ever meet. If you see him at a con ask him about his unicorn shirt, man does it suit him ;D

:darkkenjie: - DJ Welch, I had the opportunity to meet this guy through Mike. Man some of the raddest works. Very cool dude.

:jasinmartin: - Jason Martin, Ha i got re-connected with this dude. When i used to just go to cons to walk around i had came across Jason, i dug his works and got a sketchbook from him. I liked his characters so i did a piece for him...granted it was pretty bad. He told me this weekend he put it in one of his books like 4 years ago. Ha, i had no idea, Huge thanks homie. Definitely does some very cool stuff.

:davedwonch: - Dave Dwonch, I first heard of this guy on the podcast "comic geek speak". Hilarious dude, and does some awesome stuff. Its always cool to chat him up.

:ralphious: - Ralph Miranda, Haha. Man this dude kicked the shit out of me in a arm wrestling match at the con, in all honesty i believe he left being undefeated. You read this Ralph, shit ain't happening again at sdcc ;) Be sure to support my boy, he's doing his thing go check his work out!

:sketchboy01: - Chris Kawagiwa, Saturday and Sunday i had the pleasure of harassing my homie Chris through out the day as he sold his work like a illegal substance. He's definitely a awesome cat with loads of talent.

:xashe: - Stephen Yan, Just a awesome kid, has a mad amount of work up. Definitely looking forward to his future work.

:jermzlar: - Jeremy Parsons, Another member of the talented crew hanging out next to us. I'm sure he'll be posting more works soon. ;)

How I Work

I did some house cleaning this weekend. My spot has been a complete disaster due to cons and working, but i digress here are some snap shots of my work space and other shiz. I had to take pics cause god knows this ain't gonna last very long. ;D

Wonder-Con!

The Crew and I will be attending Wonder-Con this coming weekend. It will be Richard Curtze, Corey Bernhardt, and Yours Truly. We'll be located in Artist Alley - AA040 under "Little Carbon Robot". If your in the area be sure to come by and say hello.

ECCC

Seattle was hands down one of the best shows i've been to in a while. It was very cool catching up with some old friends and meeting some new ones. The show will be growing from a weekend show to a 3 day next year, which is going to be rad.

I look forward to next years show but until then we will be crashing Wonder-Con on the first weekend of April. More info coming soon.
